    Bringing in the Tree

    Students and faculty celebrate the arrival of the tree and share holiday cookies and songs.

    Boarding students are required to attend Chapel. Junior and Senior day students must attend as they are participants in the Chapel -- Freshmen and Sophomore day students are strongly encouraged to join us!

    Financial Night at HMS TENTATIVE

    SCI+TECH BLDG - Auditorium - Auditorium
    In collaboration with the NH Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NHASFAA) Speaker's Bureau, this evening presentation helps families navigate through the financial aid process. Topics include: how to apply for aid and the types of aid available. Funding options, scholarship searches, and the importance of deadlines are also discussed.

    Festival dinner for all students (dress nicely, but no heels). No charge for day students. Yule players should dine early, at 5:30 p.m..

    Multi-cultural celebration of Winter, full of High Mowing traditions for enrolled students. The Christmas book is presented to Father Christmas, Santa Lucia visits the school and more.

    Dismissal at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16. Boarders return in preparation for classes resuming Monday, January 10.

    Holiday Break Begins at 4:00 p.m.

    • School dismisses at 4:00 pm.
    • Regional boarding students are expected to leave campus before 6:00 p.m.
    • International and West Coast boarding students are expected to vacate the dorms by 1:30 p.m. on the following day.  

    All students' individual travel plan information is to be given to the Residential Director 10 days in advance.
