Waldorf Education in National News
Posted 12/08/2011 12:32PM

Waldorf education has been a recent topic of national news, starting with last month's New York Times profile of The Waldorf School of the Peninsula, as part of its series about technology and schools. Younger children do not use technology in their Waldorf classrooms, but are guided by their teacher and learn by experiencing the world directly. Computers and technology are used as a tool in Waldorf high schools, but never as a substitute for inspired teaching or authentic human relationships.

Special interest is being directed at this particular school located in the heart of Silicon Valley, where many of the parents work in the technology industry yet choose to send their children to a school where technology is minimized.
