Each summer High Mowing enjoys a different sort of student on campus — adults! Beginning in late June, the Center for Anthroposophy offers two weeks of Renewal Courses for those interested in learning more about Anthroposophy and Waldorf education. The summer continues with Antioch University New England joining the Center to offer their summer curricula for current or aspiring Waldorf teachers, leading to a certificate or degree.
This year, Renewal Courses are held on June 23-28 and June 30-July 5. These daytime courses (with optional and enriching evening events) are appropriate for new and experienced teachers, parents, trustees, and board members, as well as artists, thinkers and seekers in life. All courses include an artistic component and are taught by stellar teachers. The Renewal website offers course descriptions and information about housing and registration.
A school campus is meant for learning, and each summer it is exciting to have adult learners inhabit the campus and bring a different sort of energy to the hill!
