High Mowing School warmly invites you to a David Anderson Music Fund benefit concert featuring Fiona GRAHAM '13 on Harp. Please join us Tuesday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Big Room. The program also includes performances by Joy Flemming, bassoon, Peter Sheen, voice, and Mark Ferguson, piano. Donations to the music fund will be accepted at the door.
This inspired program features Fiona, HMS alumna and past Music Fund scholarship recipient, performing five pieces on pedal harp by composers Bochsa, Dittersdorf, Grandjany, Paulus and Tournier. Also on the program is music for bassoon and piano by Saint-Saens, Mozart and Beethoven and selections from Ralph Vaughn-Williams, Songs For Travel, for voice and piano.
The High Mowing School Music Fund was established in memory of David Anderson, a member of High Mowing’s class of '96. David was a lover of music, a gifted cellist and remarkable member of the High Mowing community. This Fund provides music scholarships to deserving High Mowing musicians who have shown their dedication to their music studies. In the last five years, the HMS Music Fund has awarded over $30,000 in scholarships and supported various music events in the local community.
Please join us in welcoming Fiona back to the Hill and come enjoy an evening of beautiful music!
