Gifts to the Annual Campaign may be restricted for use. The following funds may be designated or you may wish to restrict the fund for a particular purpose that matches your giving goals or personal interests. Beulah Hepburn Emmet Scholarship

Beulah Hepburn Emmet, the founder of High Mowing School, was extraordinarily generous in supporting students with financial needs. In honor of that legacy, this fund was established to assist students who, because of financial need, would not otherwise be able to attend High Mowing School.

Ann Friedl Scholarship

Ann Friedl was one of the founding teachers of High Mowing School who loved and was loved by generations of alumni/ae. At her request, this fund was established to primarily assist the children and the grandchildren of High Mowing School alumni/ae.

Sandy Brooks Scholarship

In memory of High Mowing teacher, Sandy Brooks, this fund is used to assist present High Mowing students with financial need who show good academic and social standing. Seniors will be given first consideration.

Robert Pittman Scholarship

This fund is to be used in the spirit of Robert Pittman, to support students who demonstrate a strong interest in forestry, woodworking, agriculture, and/or the Naturalist Program.

Diversity Scholarship

This fund was established to create and support diversity within the High Mowing School student body.

David ANDERSON '96 Cabin Fund

Established in memory of David Anderson '96 (who built the actual cabin located at HMS and inspired the creation of the student peace and justice group), this fund supports the work of "The Cabin" through educational lectures and materials, seminars and programs. The Cabin is dedicated to the study and action of peace, justice, ecology and non-violent social change.

Gwendolyn MATHEWS Greenway '81 Fund

This fund is used to assist High Mowing School with cultural events, primarily those related to literature and poetry.

High Mowing Music Fund

Established in memory of David Anderson '96, a lover of music, gifted cellist and remarkable member of the High Mowing Community. The fund provides scholarships and supports music events in the local community.

Abby YANDELL '10 Scholarship Fund

The Abby YANDELL ’10 Scholarship Fund honors Abby's memory by providing assistance to deserving Pine Hill Waldorf School graduates with financial need who are continuing their education at High Mowing School.

Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Fund

This fund provides financial assistance to deserving High Mowing School seniors who are matriculating at an accredited college or university upon graduation from High Mowing School. Funds awarded may be used to assist in meeting the costs of continuing their education.
