Thinking of Transferring
to High Mowing?
Those who transfer to our school often comment on how smoothly they were able to make the transition. Everyone wants you to feel at home here, both socially and academically. It doesn’t take long to get to know all of the other students, who will warmly welcome you. You will be guided by a faculty advisor, who will help with your academic schedule and help you adjust to a new environment.
About 4 in every 10 students are new to Waldorf education when they come to High Mowing. They come from other independent schools, public schools or home-school settings. Students from all of these backgrounds have found success here. Our curriculum is broad and engaging. We meet our students' abilities and expectations on many levels. Students from varied backgrounds find opportunities for learning here, oftentimes in unexpected ways.
High Mowing accepts students in grades 9 through 11 on a rolling basis throughout the year, as long as there are openings in the grade. Students applying to transfer to High Mowing for the beginning of a school year should follow the standard application deadlines. New students are enrolled in the senior year by exception only, at the beginning of the school year.
