2014 – 2015 Tuition Information
Rudolf Steiner, the philosopher who developed Waldorf education in the early 20th Century, stated as one of the five founding tenets for the first Waldorf School that “no child should be refused a Waldorf education based solely on financial concerns.” At High Mowing School the purpose of the tuition adjustment process is to make Waldorf education accessible to as many families as possible, while at the same time considering the financial health of the school. We balance the founding ideal with a practical vision of our school’s finances and operate under Board approved policies and procedures which place parameters on the tuition adjustment process.
We are dedicated to providing our unique education to every student who desires it and qualifies to enroll. To that end, in order to make it possible for the greatest number of students to attend High Mowing School, we consider applications to adjust the tuition of those families who express a need. Each year we adjust tuitions for as many families and to the best degree possible.
We want to make an education at High Mowing as affordable and as possible for any student that qualifies to attend. For this reason, High Mowing sets aside a portion of its annual revenues to reduce the cost of tuition (including lodging and meals for boarding students), for students whose families demonstrate financial need.
Approximately 40% of the students at High Mowing receive a tuition adjustment. We endeavor to award assistance to all families in need. These awards vary in amount, and are based on family circumstances.
$49,900 – Boarding Student Tuition
