Music

The High Mowing Music department offers a rich and varied program of study. From chorus and chamber music, to the Sinfonietta and jazz bands, opportunities for musical expression abound. Each day, music can be heard around the school as individuals practice their instruments, train in the chorus, or rehearse with various groups. Each spring brings the chance to participate in the New Hampshire All-State Music Festival.

The Sinfonietta, a unique High Mowing offering, is a chamber orchestra with a history that spans the past half-decade. Mark Ferguson conducts the group. Under Mark's direction, the Sinfonietta has grown into a vital ensemble, with a reputation respected throughout the Monadnock Region. It is a wonderful option for student musicians as well as adult instrumentalists.
