Stranger in the Mirror: Positive Self Esteem & Social Identity in Adolescence with Jaimen McMillan

High Mowing's Parent Association warmly invites you to join us Tuesday, March 10 from 7–8 p.m. in the Big Room on our high school campus to hear from Jaimen McMillan, founder of the Spacial Dynamics Institute.

The teenage years can be bewildering and trying times for adolescents and for parents and teachers. Children experience a rude awakening at the time of puberty with the development of self-consciousness, the new experience of seeing oneself through the eyes of others. Creating a healthy relationship between consciousness and movement will affect every thought, feeling, and action in every stage of life to come. Movement education can play a vital role in the formation of positive self-image and social identity.

Jaimen has dedicated his life to studying the effects and possibilities of human movement. He has been working in the fields of movement education, movement therapy, coaching, and world peace for over 50 years, and we are proud to offer this opportunity to learn from him in person.
