We are looking for an individual to join our experienced and collaborative faculty as a Dean of  Pedagogy.

Responsibilities

The Dean of Pedagogy oversees the quality of the preschool–grade 12 curriculum and programs and ensures a positive experience for students, faculty, and parents. They will focus primarily on pedagogical matters, while working closely with administration.

This position is a year-round, full-time exempt position that follows the administrative calendar. The position may entail up to 10 teaching periods per week.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a trained and experienced Waldorf teacher and school administrator. Creative and enthusiastic, they enjoy working with a team of colleagues and an engaged parent body. They seek a school with a strong vision, energetic colleagues, and clear leadership. They are able to solve problems with discernment while maintaining confidentiality of student, familial, and organizational information. They enjoy contributing to the life of the school by participating in faculty committees such as Student Care, DEIJ, Care of Personnel, the College, Festivals, and others.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching Waldorf curriculum
  • School leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of Waldorf early childhood education
  • A background in anthroposophy
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and maintain open communication with parents
  • Administrative and organizational skills

Compensation

The compensation for the position includes
