High School Science and/or Math Teachers
High Mowing School is now accepting applications for an enthusiastic and experienced high school math and life sciences/chemistry teacher for the 2026-27 school year. A key member of our faculty, the high school math and science teacher should be comfortable teaching and leading intensive labs for Zoology, Botany, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Hydrology, and/or Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Knowledge and experience teaching high school level math is preferred.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a trained and experienced Waldorf teacher. Creative and enthusiastic, they enjoy working with a diverse group of learners. They seek a school with a strong vision, energetic colleagues, and clear leadership. They are able to solve problems with discernment while maintaining confidentiality of student, familial, and organizational information.
Initiative, dependability, and a strong inclination for collaboration are key attributes to the success of the candidate.
Requirements
- Waldorf trained/in training (preferable)
- Graduate degree preferred
- Experience teaching middle and high school students
- Organized, dependable, punctual
- Able to work collaboratively
- Passionate and authentic
- Comfortable in a Chemistry lab setting and able to lead students through the following procedures: Solid-state synthesis, titration, crystallization, purification, distillation, separation, extraction, and dilutions.
Compensation
The compensation for the position includes:
- Salary commensurate with experience
