Alex comes to High Mowing School from Florida where he was a Spanish, woodwork, and substitute teacher at the Waldorf School of Palm Beach in Boca Raton, and the woodwork specialty teacher for early childhood to grade 3 students at the Cocoplum Nature School in Delray Beach. He is in his fourth year (of five) for the Waldorf Teacher Training (Grades 1–8) at the Centro de Desarrollo Antroposófico, Mexico, and has an MBA from the University of Miami. In 2021, he co-founded Waldorf Luna Nueva in Mexico — an early childhood initiative that started as a homeschooling project and grew into a small kindergarten of about seven children. He also founded Sensory Ludoteca in Mexico — a sensorial indoor play room for children between 3 and 12 years old. In this space, all the toys are made of warm materials to promote sensorial stimulus in the play scenarios such as the kitchen, market, and vegetable patch. There's also a climbing wall and zipline. Sensory Ludoteca also offers many workshops related to woodwork, clay, handwork, and other art expressions.
