Luke has been connected to Waldorf education since his childhood. He was a student in the early years of the Monadnock Waldorf School in Keene, NH. After graduating with a master of arts in education from Antioch University New England, he began his teaching career as an assistant teacher at Pine Hill Waldorf School. He later worked as a class teacher at the Ashwood Waldorf School in Rockport, ME, and the Cape Ann Waldorf School in Beverly, MA.
 
After class teaching for 10 years, Luke moved into administration and served as the Administrative Director at the Chicago Waldorf School for 13 years. In addition to his school leadership work, Luke has served as the Leadership Council Member for the Great Lakes & Ontario region of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and as a board member for the Alliance for Public Waldorf Education. He has taught administration and governance courses at the Waldorf Teachers Institute in Chicago and serves as a guest faculty member at the Center for Anthroposophy. Most recently, Luke was the founding school principal for the Gathering Waters Charter School in Keene.
