International High School Students

International high school students find a welcoming educational home at High Mowing School.

  • Our curriculum is flexible and challenging.
  • Our faculty is generous and helpful.
  • Our small community is homelike and supportive.

High Mowing School is the oldest Waldorf school in the North America that offers a boarding program for high school students. High Mowing's curriculum provides a strong foundation for future college work, while also offering students freedom to choose work in fields of particular interest. The arts are integrated into the curriculum and there are plentiful opportunities to develop skills in the fine and performing arts. Students have the option to join a number of after school activities including clubs, sports teams and intramurals.

International high school students at High Mowing find our faculty to be extraordinary in their helpfulness and generosity. Teachers are deeply committed to helping their students succeed. The faculty includes a number of speakers of Spanish, French, and German.

International high school students appreciate our safe, home-like atmosphere and the beautiful 300 acre campus in which the forests, fields and streams often serve as an outdoor classroom. Residential life staff create a family feeling in our residential program. High Mowing's school community is small enough so that everyone gets to know each other, and the students encourage and support one another.

Our ESL program helps students integrate into our curriculum and community as quickly as possible.

Student Visa

After acceptance and after you complete your enrollment paperwork, we issue an I-20 Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status. This I-20 allows you to make an appointment at the US embassy or consulate to apply for your F-1 student visa.
