Junior Play -- Macbeth

Pine Hill Auditorium
This year we will perform Macbeth, the harrowing tale of a brilliant but ruthless Scottish general who -- spurred by a compelling prophecy, the urging of his wife, and his own ambition and vaulting imagination -- seizes the throne after murdering the king. The ensuing need to hold on to power through further violence, and the attendant fear and guilt, consume both Macbeth and his wife. Macbeth is arguably Shakespeare's most emotionally intense and powerful play, underlined with strong literary themes.
