High School Transfer Students

Are you currently attending another high school and thinking about transferring to High Mowing School?

Students who transfer to High Mowing often comment on how smoothly they were able to make the transition. Everyone wants you to feel at home here, both socially and academically. It doesn’t take long for you to get to know all of the other students, who will warmly welcome you. You will be guided by a faculty advisor, who will help with your academic schedule and help you adjust to a new environment.

About four in every ten students are new to Waldorf education when they come to High Mowing. They come from other independent schools, public schools, or home-school settings. Students from all of these backgrounds have found success here. Our curriculum is broad and engaging. We meet our students' abilities and expectations on many levels. Students from varied backgrounds find opportunities for learning here, oftentimes in unexpected ways.

Transfer Credit

When you transfer to High Mowing, we ensure that transfer credits are properly noted on your transcript.

You might need to take some required courses prior to graduation: these courses are frequently offered as electives throughout the year.  Occasionally an online course might be necessary. Additional courses mostly pertain to international applicants who are missing US History credit or the state-mandated Health credits.
