College and Career Advising

Our College and Career Advising Office provides comprehensive guidance for students and their parents, actively assisting you as you explore careers and higher education or other post-secondary options.

The breadth and depth of our curriculum offers you many opportunities to feel energized, passionate, and at-home. As you discover who you are and where your unique talents lie, our advising program is individualized to your needs, offering extensive resources on college and life planning, financial aid, scholarships, standardized tests, gap year options, and more.

College advising begins formally in your sophomore year and includes individual meetings, college and career seminars, and day and evening presentations on a variety of topics. Your advisor works with you to find colleges and other experiences that best meet your interests, needs, and goals. In your junior and senior years, you and your parents have personalized online access to Naviance, a nationally-recognized college, career, and life readiness platform. You're able to apply to colleges with Common App. Advisors are available for discussions and planning for all interested freshmen and parents if needed.

Our advisors facilitate regular communication with college representatives and gap year programs, many of whom visit our school each year to meet our students. Most students apply to college during their senior year, and a large number also consider taking a gap year before attending.
