Assoc. Head Coach - BRFC Residential Academy (Boys); Residential Life - High Mowing School
Cleyon’s roots are in Jamaica, where he attended Calabar High School before moving to the United States in 2008 where he attended the Berkshire School. He studied for his undergraduate degree at Hartwick College and earned a BS in Accounting and Business Administration.
Cleyon was a member of the Jamaica's U20 national pool, and at the school level, he won all titles including the Manning cup and Olivier Shield. He was captain of Berkshire's team and a New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) and Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WNEPSSA) all-star first team player. At Hartwick College, Cleyon earned second team honors in the Mid-American Conference for Division I (DI) as well as academic honors for excellence on the field and in the classroom.
Following college, Cleyon worked at Verizon Wireless for over three years in the Finance department. His love and passion for soccer, however, never stopped as he coached and shared his knowledge on and off the field. Cleyon has coached at the youth level for Blackrock FC, mentoring several ages ranging from U12 and up, and he assisted head coach Jon Moodey in coaching in the Premier Development League (PDL), formerly known as USL 2 in 2008.
Cleyon’s philosophy is this: "Nothing happens before its time, but with patience and good intuition you will always find yourself."
