Grace Bradham '16

An avid cook and baker since she first arrived as a sixth grader to live in the girls’ dorm with her mom, science teacher Kim McCormick, and her sister, Claire, ’13, Grace proposed her own ‘open studio’ in High Mowing’s kitchen last year.  Despite the rigors and pace of work in a real kitchen, she thrived. On snow days, Grace could be found in the kitchen, filling in for snow-bound staff.

“The kitchen is her comfort zone,” says Evan.

It was wonderful to watch this reserved but resourceful young woman emerge and rise to the full measure of her powers, in her passion for cooking and in sharing her knowledge --and freshly baked cookies, with others.

A life-long Waldorf student and a Model UN delegate, Grace will study Culinary Arts & Food Service Management at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. During a gap year Grace plans to visit her dad in Charlottesville, Virginia and take some college courses at community college there.
