It's a crisp fall morning, the frost has dissipated, and members of our Junior class are hard at work in the gardens planting cloves of garlic for next season's harvest.

      "Times gone by, when the streets were blood..." Tor Petrov '18 ominously cries in his role as The Singer in the Sophomore Class's production of Bertolt Brecht's 'The Caucasian Chalk Circle'. Join us for the second and final showing tonight, Thursday November 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the Big Room.

      Gabe Futterman '18, Johann Schlafereit '18 and Tor Petrov '18 practicing a scene from 'The Caucasian Chalk Circle' by Bertolt Brecht with the HMS Theater Arts Teacher, Dale Coye. 'The Caucasian Chalk Circle' will be performed at High Mowing School on November 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Our Juniors working to explore aspects of movement, coordination, and depth perception with Athletic & Movement Education Director Peter Sheen in the integrated physical activity portion of their morning block class. 

November 9 | Bon Voyage

    • Alex Pollard

      Alex Pollard '19 just hours before he flies to Paris, France to speak at the Airbnb Open conference as the youngest Airbnb host, as well as the youngest speaker at the event. Alex is passionate about the sharing economy and the friendly community that it perpetuates. He will return next week to share his experience (and catch up on classwork).

As a project for Sophomore Hydrology Class, Johann Schlaefereit '18 and Hunab Almehua '18 filmed their investigation into how mechanical waves from a loudspeaker affect flowing water; the results were astounding!

      On a mild fall day, Augusta Kokas '16 helps the Horticulture Class finish wrapping the newly built greenhouse. Soon, the greenhouse will be producing vegetables for our on-campus organic kitchen!
