2024 Cross Country Wrap-Up

2024 Cross Country Wrap-Up

For High Mowing, 2024 was the inaugural year for cross country and coach Tobin Peyton-Levine says the team has shown a huge improvement as the season progressed.

Their biggest highlight was winning the boys' team race at Charlemont on October 23 with three top 10 finishes: Rigel placing 10th, Alex placing 4th, and Luke getting on the podium for the first time with a 3rd place finish.

For the girls, Aria and Aria made strong improvements all season, moving from mid-pack finishers to front-of-the-race finishers, consistently placing in the top 20s.

The team has taken the conference by storm, showing the biggest improvements as the season progressed. On October 30, Eagle Hill hosted the conference championships where Tobin says everyone raced really hard and did amazing: "As a coach I could not be more proud of these racers. Jim (pictured), our lone senior, deserves a big round of applause as he has put in an effort that few people are capable of and it has been a real pleasure to have him on the team. We have our sights set high for next year and are excited to keep growing the team."
