High Mowing School is honored to announce that Daniel Weeks, Co-Owner and Vice President of Business Development at ReVision Energy, will be our 2023 commencement speaker
Mr. Weeks, who graduated from Pine Hill in 1997, helped grow the region's largest clean-energy company and an employee-owned Benefit Corporation. In addition to leading ReVision Energy's work to bring solar and other climate solutions to schools and communities, he is a passionate advocate for social justice at the state and federal level. Mr. Weeks has been named one of New Hampshire's "Most Influential Business Leaders" by NH Business Review, "Young Professional of the Year" by Stay Work Play New Hampshire, and "Forty Under 40" by the New Hampshire Union Leader.
"I am grateful that Dan will be our commencement speaker," says Head of School Katherine C. Meyer (Class of 1990). "His life and work reflect the values that align with many of our students: recognition of a changing climate and humanity's needed work to preserve it. I think the Class of 2023 will see inspiration in Dan's journey and take his words with them into the future."
Mr. Weeks says he was touched to be asked to speak to the Class of 2023. "I fondly remember my time at Pine Hill from grades 3-8. I believe the foundation laid there helped guide my journey since. It's exciting to meet the Class of 2023 and imagine where their own paths will lead."
After graduating from high school, Mr. Weeks served with AmeriCorps; attended Yale and Oxford; and lived and worked on four continents. He and his wife Dr. Sindiso Mnisi Weeks — a human rights lawyer and academic — have three young children, and enjoy reading, cycling, and playing music in their church band.
HMS celebrates the Class of 2023 at 11 a.m. on June 10 on the high school campus. The commencement ceremony is open to the community and available through livestream at https://vimeo.com/event/3342863
