HMS Alum and Startup Founder Featured in Renewal

The Spring 2025 issue of School Renewal magazine features an article on Kush Mohan '22 and how his High Mowing education inspired his AI startup. The immersive learning that is a hallmark of Waldorf education became a foundational experience for Kush as he launched his entrepreneurial career in AI.

Kush came to High Mowing his junior year with the Black Rock Football Club. He previously attended traditional schools in Australia with lecture-style classes and test-based assessments. "Everything was very linear and straightforward," Kush reflects. "But at High Mowing, I was doing pottery, learning about Dante, and exploring all these different things that seemed to have no correlation with one another. From a broader perspective, I realize that exploring so many different subjects and arts really cultivated open-mindedness."

As the founder of a startup that uses AI to enhance interpersonal and communication skills, Kush credits High Mowing School with developing empathy and critical thinking, both foundational skills in his career.
