High Mowing School, founded in 1942, is a Waldorf boarding high school located in Wilton, New Hampshire. We provide a safe, welcoming, and diverse school community to about 120 day and boarding students who find a supportive environment where their uniqueness is celebrated with kindness and compassion.
Our stunning New England campus is situated on a charming hilltop with spectacular views of the local mountain. HMS lies in close proximity to Boston. Pine Hill Waldorf School, offering Nursery through Grade 8, is located across the road along with A Child's Nature whole-child childcare center for children 6 weeks to 6 years. High Mowing School is an accredited member of AWSNA and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We are fortunate to host the Center for Anthroposophy summer Renewal courses and Antioch University summer Waldorf Teacher Training on our campus. The surrounding community offers anthroposophic physicians, study groups, workshops, conferences, and biodynamic farms.
