High Mowing School, founded in 1942, is a Waldorf boarding high school located in Wilton, New Hampshire. We provide a safe, welcoming, and diverse school community to about 220 day and high school boarding students who find a supportive environment where their uniqueness is celebrated with kindness and compassion. We have recently merged with our sister school across the road, encompassing Pine Hill Waldorf School's kindergarten through Grade 8 Waldorf education, now known as the Pine Hill campus at High Mowing School.
Our stunning New England campus is situated on a charming hilltop with spectacular views of the local mountain. HMS lies in close proximity to Boston. High Mowing School is an accredited member of AWSNA and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We are fortunate to host the Center for Anthroposophy summer Renewal courses and Antioch University summer Waldorf Teacher Training on our campus. The surrounding community offers anthroposophic physicians, study groups, workshops, conferences, and biodynamic farms.
