High Mowing School was built by philanthropy, and the generous support of those who know and appreciate High Mowing continues to define and shape the vibrant character of the school. Nowhere is this more evident than among the diverse scholarships that make High Mowing accessible and affordable to students from around the corner and around the world.

  • Founders Merit Scholarship

    This multi-year scholarship for incoming students honors Mrs. Beulah Emmet, and those who helped her to establish High Mowing School, by recognizing exceptional and well-rounded students who exhibit academic excellence, artistic or athletic achievement, and community engagement.
  • Beulah Hepburn Emmet Scholarship

    For 38 years, Mrs. Emmet welcomed students from across the country and around the world, offering scholarships to those who otherwise would not be able to attend High Mowing School. This scholarship continues that tradition and is available to continuing and entering students.
  • Sandy Brooks Scholarship

    In remembrance of a dedicated teacher and alumni parent, this scholarship assists current High Mowing students in good academic standing who demonstrate financial need.
  • Diversity Scholarship

    This scholarship assists students from diverse cultural backgrounds who demonstrate a strong desire to attend High Mowing School and have financial need.
  • Ann Friedl Scholarship

    Honoring the memory of a long-serving High Mowing teacher, this scholarship assists the siblings, children, grandchildren or other relatives of High Mowing alumni.
  • Robert PITTMAN ’44 Scholarship

    Founded in memory of a High Mowing alumnus and dedicated teacher, this scholarship provides assistance to students in financial need who show a strong interest in forestry, woodworking, agriculture, or the Naturalist Program.
  • H. Lee ROWELL ’45 Memorial Scholarship

    This memorial scholarship supports prospective and current students who are in good academic standing and are deserving of recognition.
  • Abby YANDELL ’10 Scholarship

    Honoring the memory of a compassionate and talented young alumna, this scholarship supports graduates of Pine Hill Waldorf School who display empathy for others and are in need of financial assistance to attend High Mowing School.
  • Fund for High Mowing

    The Fund for High Mowing is built through donations from our generous alumni, parents, and friends of High Mowing. Among other things, it funds the school’s generous financial aid program for qualified families.

Founded in 1942, HMS is an accredited Waldorf co-educational high school serving day and boarding students in Wilton, NH. High Mowing School is a place for young adults to grow intellectually, artistically, and socially while living and learning with students from across town and around the world.
