The Young Child

As an adult, she returned to her roots out of a true appreciation for what the education meant for her and the wish to offer that same experience to her own children and those in our community.

Emma first joined High Mowing in 2015 as a class teacher after completing her Waldorf teacher training on campus and being inspired by the beauty and peacefulness of the campus, as well as the rich heritage of Waldorf education on the Hill.

Subsequently, she served as a reading tutor and as our Parent & Child program teacher for a time. Now as a member of our Admissions team, Emma enjoys welcoming prospective families and making the magic of Waldorf education accessible to a wide audience.

When she's not at work, Emma likes to garden, hike, and cook, all of which are rooted in an reverence for the world around us, which is one of the core tenets of Waldorf philosophy.

She works as a Human Resource leader and serves in the New Hampshire Air National Guard when she is not shepherding her three young children through a balanced curriculum. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and finding the best coffee and foodie spots in the region.

Molly's deep passion for continuous education and transparency about the "why" behind key Waldorf educational approaches drives her to help break down the vast world of Waldorf education into bite-size pieces for families to discuss and incorporate naturally, at their own individual pace. She values connecting the community to share diverse perspectives, and leads open forums to learn and practice handworks skills while building relationships within the community.

She has served as a teacher, parent, and board member, and was instrumental in the construction of Bluebell Cottage. As a Waldorf Early Childhood teacher for many years, Sherry has been the shepherd for hundreds of children, as well as their parents, through their early childhood years.

Sherry has also completed extensive training in Nonviolent Communication, also known as Compassionate Communication. This work with Compassionate Communication has been a complement to Sherry’s many years of experience with Waldorf Early Childhood Education and has been a support to her work in the classroom. In addition, she offers classes on Compassionate Parenting.

Now as our Parent and Child teacher, Sherry finds joy in sharing the experiences and wisdom from her years as a parent and teacher and takes delight in watching both children and parents grow and transform.
